The average price of unleaded petrol in Australia rose 6.4¢ to 211.9¢ a litre nationally in the week ending 26 June, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Petrol Prices’ report.
The average national weekly metropolitan retail price rose 4.3¢ to 212.1¢ a litre, while the regional price rose 10.4¢ to 211.3¢ a litre.
The most expensive unleaded in the country was in the Northern Territory at 216.4¢ a litre, followed by Queensland (216.1¢), Tasmania (215.8¢), NSW/ACT (214.9¢), South Australia (212.1¢), Victoria (207.4¢), and Western Australia (204.1¢).
Of the major cities, Perth offered the cheapest unleaded for the week at 201.9¢ a litre, followed by Melbourne (206.6¢), Darwin (207.5¢), Adelaide (213.4¢), Hobart (214.5¢), Sydney (216.4¢), Brisbane (219.3¢), and Canberra (220.1¢).
