As the industry navigates the opportunities and unknowns of future fuels an old name is getting a new lease on life, as fuel technology business and ACAPMA Partner PEC (previously Gallagher) is there to assist the industry. The PEC name is coming back after a hiatus of over 20 years as Gallagher Fuel Systems has announced it is bringing back the original PEC brand as part of a refocusing on the future.
After servicing the Asia Pacific region with quality fuel dispensing technologies for over 60 years, PEC was acquired by Gallagher Fuel Systems in 1999.
The rebrand back to PEC is a return to origins that is designed to bring the ethos and approach of the past to the opportunities of today, to prepare for the distant tomorrow.
PEC retains its long-established history of high-quality dispensing equipment for the refuelling sector as it prepares to transition into the low emission products including Hydrogen
This expanded focus is combined with PECs rapidly developing Manufacturing Services for a variety of high technology industries across New Zealand and Australia broadens its technical competence.
“Going back to our roots as PEC is an exciting new chapter for everyone involved,” said Richard Coxon.
“PEC is a strong, established business, with an outstanding team and plenty of opportunities ahead of us. Gallagher has always been about entrepreneurship and innovation, and these are qualities that we are taking forward with us”, added Richard.
The name PEC has always stood for quality, innovation and trust through reliability and delivery. Even in its absence over the intervening years, PEC brand is remembered with a sense of respect by those who were a part of its history, making the decision to return the company to its original name an easy one. The three supporting pillars to the brand include Fuel Systems, Manufacturing Technology and Hydrogen Energy.
