7-Eleven formally opened its first NSW/Victoria border store this week – the first of what is expected to be approximately three stores on the border.
Located at 4353 Anzac Parade, Wodonga, the store is staffed by 14 team members. Wodonga local Nikki Stopps is leading the team as Store Manager, supported by Assistant Store Manager Amy Dosser.
Ms Stopps says that the entire team is thrilled to welcome customers to the new store.
“Being able to offer a brand-new store to our local customers is exciting. The range we are going to offer is something new for the border, and we’re aiming to provide brilliant service to the community. We can’t wait to welcome everyone to the new store,” says Ms Stopps.
The full experience
The store will provide 7-Eleven’s full fresh food, convenience and quality Mobil fuel offer, 24/7.
It will feature a full range of food and convenience options including; 7-Eleven’s handmade sandwiches, wraps and Krispy Kreme doughnuts, as well as 7-Eleven’s $1 freshly ground coffee, and Slurpee including Slurpee Low Sugar options.
“Our supply chain means that our fresh food including sandwiches, sushi, salads and Krispy Kreme Doughnuts can be delivered every day of the week,” says 7-Eleven Australia Regional Victoria Lead Alex Foley.
Border locals can also use the My 7-Eleven App Fuel Price Lock feature, which 7-Eleven says has helped Australians save more than $34 million dollars from 1 October 2020 to 1 October 2021.
Mr Foley says the store is designed provide customers additional convenient services.
“The services in the new store include 7-Eleven ParcelMate. This service allows customers to send parcels 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. 7-Eleven ParcelMate’s service provides customers with convenient, reliable, good value options to post parcels in Australia. Just pop your item in the right size satchel, and pay the relevant flat rate at when you drop off your parcel,” he says.
Border growth
7-Eleven’s opening of up to four stores on the NSW/Victoria border is an estimated four million dollar investment in the region with more than 10 ongoing jobs available in each store.
“Our investment in Albury Wodonga is part of our commitment to providing regional Australians with the same level of choice and convenience available to people across metropolitan areas,” says Mr Foley.
“We are expecting to open a number of stores in the region in the next few years. We want to invest in helping our Albury Wodonga team members accelerate their development, so they can build their careers with us as we rapidly expand in the area.”
