Weekly petrol prices

The average price of unleaded petrol in Australia dropped 3.3¢ to 118.9¢ a litre nationally in the week ending 29 November, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Petrol Prices’ report.

The average national weekly metropolitan retail price dropped 5.2¢ to 119.7¢ a litre, with the regional price rising by 0.7¢ to 117.4¢ a litre.

The most expensive unleaded in the country was in the Northern Territory at 128.7¢ a litre, followed by Queensland (126.4¢), Tasmania (123.1¢), NSW/ACT (120.3¢), Western Australia (116.6¢), Victoria (114.3¢), and South Australia (110.5¢).

Of the major cities, Adelaide offered the cheapest unleaded for the week at 108.7¢ a litre, followed by Melbourne (114.7¢), Darwin (115.8¢), Perth (116.0¢), Canberra (121.1¢), Sydney (121.6¢), Hobart (123.1¢) and Brisbane (131.3¢).
