The announcement of Bear and the Beard comes from a partnership between leading Australian Coffee Roasters, Seven Miles and children’s hospice, Bear Cottage.
For every bag of Bear and the Beard coffee sold, $1 will go directly into the paws of this important cause.
Bear Cottage dedicates itself to children from across Australia with life-limiting illnesses, offering 24-hour paediatric palliative care in a comfortable environment for families, far removed from the hospital wards they have become familiar with.
The name Bear and the Beard is a nod to the collaboration between Bear Cottage and Baristas doing good together. Famed for their healthy facial hair, these coffee connoisseurs will now be serving Aussies their daily dose while raising money for those in need.
Seven Miles CEO, Jenny Willits explains, “Supporting our community is a core part of our identity and we’re proud to deliver on that promise through Bear and the Beard, offering not just exceptional coffee, but our ongoing commitment to support those that bring joy and compassion to the most vulnerable members of our community.”
Launching in cafes across the country this August, the deep, malty sweetness of this medium-roast blend is perfect espresso. Featuring coffee from the Finca La Encanada estate in Peru, who Seven Miles has been working with directly for over seven years, from a beautifully balanced flat white to a rich, punchy long black – the blend is designed to hit the sweet pot.
“We are incredibly grateful to Seven Miles for their support of Bear Cottage over the years. To have this opportunity to raise funds and awareness through the launch of their Bear and the Beard coffee range, is really exciting,” says Bear Cottage Nursing Unit Manager, Narelle Martin.
