The average price of diesel fuel in Australia rose by 0.2¢ to 143¢ a litre nationally in the week ending February 10, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Diesel Prices’ report.
The average national weekly metropolitan retail price rose by 0.4¢ to 142.4¢ a litre, while the regional price rose by 0.1¢ to 143.8¢ a litre.
The most expensive fuel in the country was in the NT at 157.6¢ a litre, followed by Tasmania (154.4¢), WA (144.3¢), NSW/ACT (143.4¢), Queensland (141.8¢), SA (141.4¢) and Victoria (140.9¢).
Of the major cities, Adelaide offered the cheapest diesel for the week at 136.6¢ a litre, followed by Darwin (139.5¢), Sydney (140.1¢), Perth (141¢), Melbourne (142.4¢), Brisbane (142.5¢), Canberra (151.2¢) and Hobart (156¢).
