7-Eleven has announced the final approval of the first round of wage repayments under the company’s streamlined Wage Repayment Program.
A total of 21 claims, and $686,000 in repayments, have been approved. The company believes that the finalisation of wage repayments going forward will become a regular occurrence, with the number of wage repayment claims submitted currently standing at 4,008. Since 7-Eleven assumed responsibility for the wage repayment process, a further 305 claims have been made, with only three withdrawn.
“7-Eleven took the Wage Repayment Program process in-house in order to deliver a robust and efficient process that put money in the hands of claimants as quickly as possible,” 7-Eleven CEO Angus McKay said. “7-Eleven is happy to be judged on its actions and will continue to publicly report our progress as we move forward.”
