Australia’s best IGA and Foodland IGA stores were crowned at the 25th National IGA Awards of Excellence. Held at The Star Gold Coast on July 15, these annual awards recognise, highlight, and celebrate independent retailers from across the country.
This year’s awards were hosted by two of Australia’s TV personalities Larry Emdur and Mark Beretta, who have been entertaining Australians for decades across sports broadcasts, morning shows, game shows and everything in between.
The crowd was entertained by Delta Goodrem and Matthew Copley, John Foreman and the IGA Band and the Gold Coast Children’s Choir. Mr Emdur and Mr Beretta presented 25 awards to IGA and Foodland IGA independent retailers with proud owner of Saints Foodland IGA Spero Tsapaliaris being inducted into the prestigious Dr Thomas S Haggai IGA Hall of Fame.
West Australia’s IGA Kinross took home the highest accolade of the night – the 2024 IGA National Retailer of the Year. The retailer was also awarded the 2024 IGA National Large Store of the Year and the 2024 IGA National Large Grocery and General Merchandise Department of the Year and will now represent Australian at the International IGA Global Rally in the USA.
