The 2024 Asia Pacific Fuel Industry (APFI) Forum taking place on 23-25 September, 2024, has been expanded and will comprise three events in one – the APFI Forum, the new C360 Expo, and the Australian Fuel and Convenience Awards Gala Dinner.
For the second year running, the 2024 Australian Fuel & Convenience Awards is proudly brought to you by ACAPMA and Convenience World.
The Awards celebrate the best in the industry in compliance excellence, safe and healthy workplaces, championing innovation, sustainability and community spirit.
With over 61,000 Australians employed throughout our industry, and more than $75 billlion turnover annually, this essential industry and all of the businesses within it are worth acknowledging.
These awards are designed to recognise fuel and convenience businesses (retailers and suppliers) and fuel supply businesses (distributors and wholesalers) that are making tangible contributions to the quality and future viability of the fuel and convenience industry in Australia.
The AFC Awards are framed around operational excellence in five key areas
Compliance Excellence
Demonstrating a wholesale commitment to wage, public safety and environmental protection via active compliance practices.
Create Safe and Healthy Workplaces
Implementing actions that are specifically focused on maintaining the safety, well-being and career development of the people that work within the business.
Championing Innovation
Demonstrating leadership in business innovation in a way that delivers tangible benefits for customers and staff.
Delivering Sustainable Outcomes
Taking action to improve the environmental performance of their business (and the wider industry) in an economically sustainable manner.
Community Spirit
Demonstrating exceptional leadership and support at a community level.
The first four key areas are used to determine National Award Winners for;
- Equipment Supplier of the Year
- Shop Supplier of the Year
- Small Retailer of the Year
- Large Retailer of the Year
- Small Distributor of the Year
- Large Distributor of the Year.
The fifth key area is be used to determine the National Award Winner for the Marg Taylor Award for Community Spirit.
