ON THE SHELF FAMOUS FOR A ‘BETTER-FOR-YOU’ COLA The team at Famous Soda Co has “toiled away for 12 months creating, testing, and tasting hundreds of recipes to achieve the latest and greatest” addition to the Famous Soda Co family: Famous Cola. CEO Michael Pillon says Famous Soda Co has heard its customers and has now answered. “Sometimes you just need, even crave, that refreshing taste of cola – so, we set out to make a better-for-you version that’s a healthier, natural, zero sugar alternative,” he said. “The flavour profile is quite unique, bursting with tiny bubbles of vanilla and cinnamon that delivers the natural sweetness that’s expected from a great cola. And there’s an extra zing with overtones of citrus oil, ginger, and cassia. Together they create an unforgettable flavour celebration.” PEANUT BUTTER CUPS OF ‘BIG FLAVOUR’ Pairing the “smoothest melt-in-your-mouth” chocolate and “creamy peanut butter” with the macros Quest is said to be known for, Quest Peanut Butter Cups are “protein-packed”, keto-friendly, and low carb. Claimed to be “big on flavour”, these low- sugar alternatives are promoted as being perfect as a mid-morning snack or an afternoon pick- me-up. Sold as a 42g two pack, the “generously sized” Peanut Butter Cups contain “only” 1g of carbs, 11g of protein, and less than 0.5g of sugar. MULTI-SERVE YOGHURTS MEET COVID NEEDS Chobani has expanded its 907g multi-serve tub range to include two new flavours, Mango and Passionfruit. According to Chobani Australia General Manager Sales and Category Julia Clark, the brand achieved “significant growth” in the 907g range during March and April 2020. “This coincided with most nationwide lockdowns, which showed us a correlation between people spending more time at home and enjoying the multi-serve tubs with their family,” she said. “This trend has continued to remain strong into 2021 and we’re excited to bring more variety to this category.” The Mango and Passionfruit 907g tubs will join the existing range of Plain Low-Fat, Plain Whole Milk, Vanilla Low-Fat and Strawberry Blended Low- Fat Greek Yoghurt. The new flavours are currently available in Coles supermarkets nationwide and select independent retailers. WHY FELIX RANGE IS ‘COOL FOR CATS’ As Good As It Looks meals from Felix are promoted as being “delicious” and “specially prepared with tender, meaty and fishy pieces in a succulent jelly, which look and smell so meaty, it looks like food you might have cooked yourself”. According to the brand, the product is a source of essential omega-6 fatty acids and contains “the right combination” of balanced minerals and vitamins D and E. It’s also said to be “full of healthy goodness” to satisfy 100 per cent of a cat’s daily needs, when fed according to the feeding guidelines on the pack.
