Soul Origin teams up with Aussie cricketer

Soul Origin is expanding its all-star Soul Squad, welcoming Australian cricketer Chris Lynn as the newest ambassador for the brand.

To mark the partnership, Soul Origin is launching the new Big Hitter Meal, a limited time offer available at participating stores nationwide for $16.90, alongside the introduction of two new premium paninis, the Salami Classico and Mortadella Pesto, and the national launch of Soul Origin’s new Hidden Gems.

Joining a growing roster of elite Australian sporting talent including Jarome Luai, Ellie Carpenter and Jaime Chapman, Mr Lynn is said to bring his trademark energy, personality and “larger-than-life” presence to Soul Origin’s latest campaign, celebrating “bold flavour, great value and a love of doing things big”.

Mr Lynn says, as an athlete, your body is your temple, so what you put into it matters.

“I want to stand behind food that is fresh and a better choice, but still fast, convenient and works when you’re on the go. Soul Origin ticks all those boxes for me,” he says.

“It’s a fun, wholesome brand with seriously good-tasting food, quality ingredients and no compromise on flavour. That’s something I’m genuinely happy to put my name behind.”

Soul Origin Chief Marketing Officer Petra Orrenius says Ms Lynn’s addition to the Soul Squad marks an exciting new chapter for the brand.

“Chris is a natural fit for Soul Origin. He’s fun, energetic, authentic and known for going big, which aligns perfectly with what the Big Hitter Meal represents,” she says.

Big Hitter Meal

Known for clearing boundaries and entertaining crowds around the world, Mr Lynn has built a reputation as one of cricket’s biggest hitters. Soul Origin’s new Big Hitter Meal takes inspiration from that same approach, delivering a “satisfying combination of flavour, quality and value”.

The Big Hitter Meal includes a panini, “crispy” potato Hidden Gems and Soul Origin’s signature SO chilli mayo, bringing together “freshly made” ingredients and a “flavour-packed” chilli kick in one convenient meal.

The crispy potato gems have until now only been available through selected Soul Origin drive-through locations.

“We’ve been quietly testing our Hidden Gems through drive through, and they’ve been a true hit, so we knew it was time to take them national,” says Ms Orrenius.

“Pair them with one of our paninis, and SO chilli mayo and you have what we think is the perfect Big Hitter lunch, fresh, fast, seriously tasty and great value.”

New paninis

The new Salami Classico combines fennel and garlic salami with ripe tomato, Kalamata olives, “crunchy” pickles, rocket and “creamy” aioli, all layered inside a panini.

The Mortadella Pesto, on the other hand, brings together premium mortadella, “creamy” bocconcini, fresh rocket and basil pesto, pressed inside Soul Origin’s panini.

Developed to meet growing demand for elevated cafe-style lunch options, both paninis are said to showcase Soul Origin’s commitment to premium ingredients, handcrafted preparation and “flavour-first” menu innovation.

“Our panini range has always been a customer favourite, and we’re very excited to introduce the Salami Classico and Mortadella Pesto,” says Ms Orrenius.

“The new additions bring something different to the range while staying true to the quality, freshness and flavour our customers expect from Soul Origin.”
