Chargefox adds EVX chargers to platform

Chargefox has partnered with EVX to bring “hundreds” more kerbside EV chargers to its national platform.

EVX chargers are currently situated at various locations in NSW, including Wollongong and Sydney, as well as Ballina and Byron Bay. There are also two locations in the south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne.

This announcement follows the addition of AGL kerbside charging sites to the Chargefox platform.

The integration of EVX’s pole-mounted kerbside chargers into the Chargefox platform is said to deliver “accessible, everyday charging in some of the areas it’s needed most”. Chargefox says kerbside charging is a “key piece of the puzzle” in providing universal access to EV charging, particularly for apartment dwellers, renters, and those without access to a home charger.

“We are incredibly excited to welcome EVX to the Chargefox platform,” says Rebecca Stenhouse, CEO of Australian Motoring Services who operate Chargefox.

“Kerbside charging is a key part of our mission to make EV charging more convenient for drivers across Australia – delivering a single, secure and seamless experience, whenever and wherever they need it.”

The partnership means EVX’s kerbside charging sites are now accessible to all Australian EV drivers through the Chargefox app and RFID cards.

Chargefox users including private drivers, fleet customers, and subscription holders will be able to locate, charge, and pay for charging sessions at these EVX locations.

“We are all excited to welcome Chargefox customers to access EVX kerbside chargers as we continue to grow our network” says EVX CEO Andrew Forster.

“Recent announcements of roaming partnerships across the sector demonstrates charge point operators ongoing commitment to customer experience and universal access.”

120 EVX locations, featuring 240 plugs are now available on the Chargefox app, with a further 28 locations in Sydney to be added soon.
