APCO Foundation breaks records with Superhero Giving Day

The APCO Foundation has announced its most successful Giving Day to date, raising $259,531 on Tuesday, 29th July 2025. The superhero themed Giving Day saw APCO communities come together to support local families and individuals facing challenging circumstances.

The record-breaking result was made possible through the generous support of matching partners who doubled every donation received on the day, amplifying the impact of community contributions.

“We are absolutely overwhelmed by the incredible generosity shown by our APCO communities,” said Sharon Gleeson, Chairperson of the APCO Foundation. “This result proves that when ordinary people come together with a shared purpose, we can achieve extraordinary things. Every dollar raised will go directly to helping people in our local communities who are facing tough times.”

The funds will support individuals and families across APCO’s network of service stations, with 90 cents of every dollar donated going directly back into local communities. The Foundation provides rapid assistance to people experiencing crisis situations, including those dealing with serious illness, domestic violence, financial hardship, and natural disasters.

Since its establishment in 2013, the APCO Foundation has raised over $2.3 million and distributed more than $1.85 million directly to communities.

“The superhero theme really captured people’s imagination this year,” said Jade Augustine, Fundraising & Development Manager. “Seeing APCO Service Stations transform into superhero headquarters and watching the community embrace the spirit of kindness was incredible. This result shows what’s possible when we all work together.”
