Supply Nation appoints new Board Directors

Supply Nation has appointed Jenni Collard, General Manager at Rio Tinto and Katie Wyatt, Head of Diversity & Inclusion at BHP Group as non-executive Directors.

Ms Collard, a descendant of the Yadhiagana/Wuthathi and Guringji peoples, has over 25 years of experience in the public service and the mining industries, with broad expertise in Indigenous affairs, social policy, program management, and regional development.

At Rio Tinto, Ms Collard’s responsibilities include oversight of the internal group audit function to ensure compliance with the highest standards of governance and ethics.

Ms Wyatt a proud Noongar/Yamatji woman, brings with her significant experience in leadership and organisation development working with some of Australia’s largest organisations including BHP, PwC, Accenture and Australia Post. She has fulfilled a senior role at Social Traders and has a unique retail and supply-chain perspective having worked with Coles Group as Head of Culture and Inclusion.

Damien Barnes, Co-Chair of the Supply Nation Board, says the organisation is extremely pleased to welcome Ms Collard and Ms Wyatt to the Supply Nation Board.

“Both appointees possess significant experience in Indigenous affairs and business,” he says.

“The appointments will bring new perspectives and expertise to the Board at a critical time for Supply Nation and the Indigenous business sector as we look for opportunity in the changing global economy.”

Penny Bingham-Hall, Co-Chair of the Supply Nation Board, says now, more than ever, the Board values “deep expertise and understanding of the importance of diversity and inclusion initiatives in business and the value they bring to Indigenous communities”.

“The Board is delighted that both Katie and Jenni have accepted the invitation to join us as we look to embark on ambitious initiatives to support the growth of Indigenous businesses across Australia,” she says.
