                 ON THE SHELF  KINDER BUENO FLAVOUR OFFERS A ‘TOUCH OF TROPICAL’ A new Kinder Bueno Coconut flavour is joining the Kinder Classic, White and Dark Bueno range for a limited time. Combining the “crispy, creamy goodness that Bueno fans know and love”, the limited-edition product is said to bring “a touch of tropical to the everyday” with a covering of white chocolate and coconut milk, and a dusting of coconut flakes. Kinder Bueno Coconut is now available from a range of Australian and New Zealand retailers including Big W, 7-Eleven, Coles Express, BP, WW Petrol, Caltex and independents.  DOCTOR’S ORDER OF RUM FLAVOURED BEEF JERKY Doctor Proctor’s has crafted Bundaberg Rum flavoured beef jerky. Owner David Proctor describes Bundaberg Rum Beef Jerky as “the perfect pairing of premium Australian beef and Australia’s number one rum – a snack on the go for lovers of a good time”. According to the company, the product contains no more than 0.5 per cent alcohol by volume, in compliance with the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code and state and territory based legislation. Bundaberg Rum Beef Jerky is available in the variants of Chilli Rum and Rum & Cola.     MARS WRIGLEY LAUNCHES M&M’S PRETZEL IN AUSTRALIA Mars Wrigley Australia’s investment of over $300,000 to bring new technologies to its chocolate factory in Ballarat, Victoria has enabled the company to produce M&M’S Pretzel locally, bringing the “salty and sweet treat” to Australia for the first time. “We are thrilled to be introducing a new variant into our bitesize portfolio with our locally produced M&M’S Pretzel for chocolate lovers in Australia to enjoy,” Mars Wrigley Australia General Manager Andrew Leakey said. Additionally, the latest investment expands the capability for the Ballarat factory to create filled M&M’S and explore more Australian-made innovations for the brand.   ARNOTT’S AND LION CREATE FLAVOURED MILK-INSPIRED BISCUITS Arnott’s has teamed up with Lion Dairy & Drinks to create a range of flavoured milk- inspired biscuits. This collaboration has introduced Arnott’s TeeVee Snacks x Dairy Farmers Chocolate Milk and Arnott’s x Dare Iced Coffee Slice to the biscuit aisle for a limited time. “Arnott’s has a wide range of biscuit flavours and textures to meet many needs, but these two new biscuits are completely different,” Arnott’s Brand Manager Citra Yunika said. “We are thrilled to be teaming up with Lion to replicate flavours from their much loved on-the-go milk drinks and combine them with our crowd pleasers – TeeVee Snacks and Slice.” The new products retail for $3.65.     GREENBACK RAISES THE PLANT-BASED BAR Greenback offers a new range of plant-based protein bars. The bars come in the flavour profiles of Hazelnut, Choc Mint, Peanut Butter and Salted Caramel, and are coated in dairy-free chocolate. “Gone are the days of a tasteless plant-based bar,” a Greenback spokesperson said. “Greenback provides a better-for-you everyday protein bar which offers a good source of protein and fibre but without preservatives, gluten and dairy.”    JUL/AUG, 2020 CONVENIENCE WORLD 29
