BEVERAGES EXPAND YOUR RANGE PERKII ADDS APPLE GINGER PROBIOTIC DRINK Apple Ginger is the latest probiotic drink flavour from Perkii, claimed to be made with more than one billion probiotics. The Perkii range features the new flavour along with Strawberry Watermelon, Mango Passionfruit, Forest Berry and Tropical Splash flavours. Perkii is said to be made with one of the world’s most researched probiotic strains, Lactobacillus casei. The launch of Apple Ginger has been supported with product sampling, on-shelf POS, digital activation and exclusive ecommerce promotions. A KEFIR TO GO GAGA OVER Gaga’s vegan probiotic beverage, Coconut Mylk Kefir, is certified organic and is said to be created using simple ingredients and traditional food processing techniques. According to the company, kefir works to improve the healthy bacteria ratio in the gut and has been shown to treat, prevent and relieve gut related ailments. “This will be the first winter for us where we have a ready-to-drink chilled product available,” Gaga founder and Director Blaise Bourke said. “We’re expecting a slight drop-off in sales in our coconut mylk kefir. However, given it’s a health product, we expect demand will remain strong as consumers focus on their health.” Gaga’s Coconut Mylk Kefir (RRP $3.75) is available in Natural, Turmeric Chai and Vanilla Bean flavours. FLAVOURED MILK MINUS THE ADDED SUGAR Dairy Farmers has launched a variety of no-sugar-added flavoured milks. The Dairy Farmers Classic products – available in NSW, Victoria, Queensland and South Australia – have been launched in Chocolate No Sugar Added 500ml and Strawberry No Sugar Added 500ml. With a Health Star Rating of 4.5, the new products are said not only to “taste great,” but also provide “healthy options”. The launch is being supported by outdoor advertising, creative POS displays and public relations. DARE AND MAXIBON’S ‘UNFORGETTABLE CAFFEINE HIT’ In collaboration with Peters Ice Cream’s Maxibon, Dare Iced Coffee has recently launched the Maxi-Dare Editions. Consumers can now get their hands on not one, but two ‘mashups’ thanks to the Maxi-Dare collaboration. Dare’s new Maxibon Latte includes notes of the “classic” Maxibon vanilla ice-cream and “iconic” chocolate biscuit throughout the “classic” Dare Iced Coffee, coming together to create an “unforgettable caffeine hit”.
