                 THE BEVERAGE GUIDE EXPAND Cop it unsweet: dairy-free milk Califia Farms’ Unsweetened Vanilla Almondmilk is described as a “delightfully delicious” alternative to traditional milk and made from whole blanched almonds with extra calcium. The product is also said to be 100 per cent plant-based, gluten free, soy free and carrageenan free. With no added sugar and a “hint” of vanilla for a “subtle” natural sweetness, it’s promoted as having a “creamy mouthfeel and smooth texture” and as a great dairy-free option for everything from cooking and baking to smoothies, on oats and cereal, or sipped straight from a glass. Kombucha soda: to your gut health! Mojo has added to its “suite of gut health- centric products” with the launch of Mojo Kombucha Soda. According to the brand, the new product is designed to support a different aspect of gut health compared with regular fermented beverages, with 2.5g dietary fibre per serve. The soda is also claimed to be authentically fermented, low in sugar, and stevia free. Mojo Kombucha Soda (RRP $2.39 per can, or $8.99 for a multipack of four) is now available at independent retailers in the varieties of Tropical Swirl, Cola Kiss and Berry Blitz. ‘First-to-market’ light oat milk Minor Figures believes it is filling a gap in the market with what it claims to be Australia’s first Light Oat Milk. According to the brand, this “first-to- market” product is the Minor Figures Barista Oat that “you know and love, just lower in sugar and fat, without compromising on the barista standard quality”. It’s promoted as being perfect for coffee and great with cereal, tea and smoothies. Mulled wine minus the alcohol In time for the cooler weather, Edenvale has introduced its latest varietal, Hearth Mulled Wine, to its range of premium alcohol-removed wines. This “winter warmer”, according to the brand, provides a “delicious seasonal alternative to the lighter varietals often preferred during summer”. Offering an “aromatic fusion” of citrus, red currant fruits, clove, cinnamon and herbal notes, this “very special” mulled wine is a “warm seamless blend of rich spice and fruit flavours, with a balanced lingering finish”. Although traditionally enjoyed warm, Hearth can also be served chilled. Vegan iced coffee comes on strong H2coco’s “vegan-friendly, high quality” cold brew robusta coffee is promoted as being the “real choice” for those seeking a dairy-free coffee alternative on the go. According to H2coco, the Cold Brew Iced Coffee “boasts a refreshingly smooth taste” and is “blended to perfection” with pure coconut water. The brand says this brew, delivering more than one full shot of coffee per can, will have you replacing your usual coffee order in no time. “Deliciously light” and dairy-free with no added sugar, no artificial flavours, colours or preservatives, H2coco Cold Brew Iced Coffee is claimed to be better for you and for the environment.
