ON THE SHELF B-READY FOR A NUTELLA ON-THE-GO SNACK BAR Nutella B-ready, a snack product promoted as Europe’s go-to biscuit bar for those on the go, is now available at Australian supermarkets and convenience stores. The brand says consumers who love Nutella in a jar can now enjoy it in a bar that is crunchy on the outside and creamy on the inside. Nutella B-ready is described as a “delicious crunchy wafer shell filled with creamy Nutella and sprinkled with puffed wheat crisps”, individually wrapped for consumption “throughout the day, anytime, anywhere”. “With a biscuit category that’s in growth, and more people snacking more often, Nutella \[is\] launching its favourite spread in a biscuit bar format for shoppers to enjoy on the go in 2021,” Nutella Senior Brand Manager Lili Despotovic said. “Nutella B-ready has been hugely popular around the world and we’re excited to give Aussies a new way to enjoy their favourite chocolate hazelnut spread as a delicious, ready-to- eat snack.” Nutella B-ready, as a lighter option for on-the-go and household shoppers, taps into current trends in both supermarket and convenience retail settings. Category research shows sweet biscuits are the fastest growing supermarket segment, up 6.4 per cent (IRI Scan Data; Biscuits; Grocery; MAT to 1/3/20). Meanwhile, in the convenience sector, chocolate delivers the highest penetration of all snack segments at 38 per cent (CMA Convenience shopper report August 2020).
