GET ‘MORE OUT OF EVERY BITE’ WITH BELVITA belVita has expanded its range, unveiling two morning snack offerings to help consumers kickstart their day. Recognising that Australians are increasingly on the hunt for healthier morning snacking options, says belVita, the brand has launched Bakes and Coconut Bites. Said to contain no artificial colours or flavours, each snack provides a source of fibre or prebiotic fibre, “guaranteeing more out of every bite”. belVita’s new Bakes (180g multipack, $5.80) are available in the variants of Dark Choc (with real Dark Chocolate pieces), Fig & Pear and Raspberry & Vanilla Bean (with Cranberry), while the Coconut Bites (90g, $4.70) are available in Raspberry & Vanilla Bean and Dark Chocolate & Cranberry. FUSS-FREE PROBIOTIC BREKKIE BALLS Promoted as “taking the fuss out of the morning rush”, Food for Health's Probiotic Brekkie Balls are a “nutritious, delicious” breakfast snack that comes in the flavours of Mango & Coconut, Cinnamon, Vanilla & Maple, and Blueberry & Vanilla. Best of all, says the brand, the 40g balls contain “significantly” less sugar than other snack balls on the market. As well as being low in sugar, the Probiotic Brekkie Balls are also said to be vegan, and two of the varieties – Mango & Coconut and Cinnamon, Vanilla & Maple – are FODMAP Friendly. The new range (RRP $12.00 for 5 x 40g balls) is now available in the health food aisle of Coles and independent supermarkets. A TASTI PLANT-BASED SNACK New Zealand’s Tasti has launched two new plant-based snacks in Australia, pointing to the claim from Sports Dietitians Australia that 2.5 million Australians are now following a plant-based diet. Tasti promotes its use of plant proteins, probiotics, and superfood ingredients, saying the plant-based approach emphasises high-quality ingredients including vegetables, fruits, wholegrains, seeds and nuts. The new snacks for Australia are Protein+, filled with plant protein, and Fruit+Vege, which is said to be this country’s first apple-based bliss ball made from real fruit and vegetables that contains no added sugar. Tasti’s Fruit+Vege and Protein+ are available at Coles, Woolworths and independent grocers. 34 CONVENIENCE WORLD NOV/DEC, 2020
