Weekly petrol prices

The average price of unleaded petrol in Australia dropped 3.1¢ to 128.9¢ a litre nationally in the week ending 14 February, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Petrol Prices’ report.

The average national weekly metropolitan retail price dropped 6.1¢ to 128.3¢ a litre, with the regional price rising by 3.0¢ to 130.2¢ a litre.

The most expensive unleaded in the country was in the NT at 137.8¢ a litre, followed by NSW/ACT (132.2¢), Victoria (130.6¢), Western Australia (130.0¢), Tasmania (129.0¢), Queensland (123.5¢), and South Australia (121.6¢).

Of the major cities, Adelaide offered the cheapest unleaded for the week at 120.0¢ a litre, followed by Brisbane (122.3¢), Darwin (126.8¢), Hobart (128.3¢), Canberra (128.8¢), Perth (130.0¢), Sydney (131.3¢) and Melbourne (131.7¢).
