Weekly diesel prices

The average price of diesel fuel in Australia remained at 149.9¢ a litre nationally in the week ending October 27, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Diesel Prices’ report.

The average national weekly metropolitan retail price fell by 0.1¢ to 148.6¢ a litre, while the regional price remained at 150.9¢ a litre.

The most expensive diesel in the country was in the NT at 160.9¢ a litre, followed by Tasmania (160.3¢), Western Australia (150.1¢), South Australia (150.1¢) NSW/ACT (149.7¢), Queensland (149.4¢) and Victoria (148¢).

Of the major cities, Adelaide offered the cheapest diesel for the week at 145.3¢ a litre, followed by Darwin (145.3¢), Sydney (147.3¢), Perth (147.8¢), Melbourne (148.2¢), Brisbane (149.6¢) and Hobart (161.2¢).
