The R U OK? Byron Bay Cookie is back

To help raise further awareness for the mental health organisation R U OK?, Byron Bay Cookies is re-branding their best-selling Milk Choc Chunk cookie.

In 2018, the Byron Bay Cookie Company proudly supported the Australian charity. The charity focuses on suicide prevention, by inspiring and empowering everyone to meaningfully connect with people around them and support anyone struggling with life.

Part of the proceeds from each cookie sold will be donated to R U OK? ahead of R U OK? Day on Thursday, 10 September.

The co-branded cookie has been baked in a way that makes it easy to break in half and share with a friend, family member or work colleague. The cookies will be available in selected cafes, and Coles Express petrol stations from mid-June, as well as selected Coles supermarkets from August.

The shareable cookies will also be available to purchase via ruok.org.au from late June.

“We’re pleased to be working with Byron Bay Cookies again,” says CEO of R U OK? Katherine Newton.

“Sharing a cuppa and a treat is a good opportunity to start a meaningful conversation in a comfortable relaxed manner.”

Marketing Manager for the Byron Bay Cookie Company, Emilie Edmond explains, “R U OK? is a cause that means a lot to us as a brand and means a lot to our team, and we’re thrilled to be baking the R U OK? cookie again this year.

“We encourage all of our cookie lovers to stay connected by asking a simple question: are you ok?”

The limited release R U OK? Cookie by Byron Bay Cookies will be available from late June via ruok.org.au at a retail price of $42 for a box of 12, individually wrapped cookies to share.
