Smith’s has re-released two well-known chip flavours for a limited time – Heinz Tomato Ketchup and Smith’s Bega Cheese.
“Our comebacks campaign was born from the fact that we are always getting requests to bring back some of our much-loved Smith’s flavours from the past,” Smith’s Marketing Manager Olivia Sutherland said.
According to Ms Sutherland, Heinz Tomato Ketchup and Bega Cheese are two of the flavours that consumers consistently ask for.
“Our research indicated that these nostalgic flavour re-releases are popular with Aussie shoppers and will drive excitement within the snacks category, and help retailers drive incremental sales,” she said.
The re-release of the flavours is being supported by a disruptive marketing campaign that includes in-store displays, a 12-week TV campaign, 16 weeks of digital-display activity, six months of cinema sponsorship, and ongoing social-media support.
The products are available in 80g and 150g sizes.
