Remedy launches new coconut water range

Remedy, the team behind Remedy Kombucha, is launching an all-new Remedy Coconut Water Kefir (‘ker-feer’).

The launch range includes three flavours: Original, Lemon Squash and Passionfruit.

Another ‘kitchen bench’ creation

Remedy Drinks founders Sarah and Emmet Condon say they started making kefir the same way they started making kombucha. On their own kitchen bench.

“When we first started fermenting in our own kitchen, kombucha was where it all began,” Mr Condon said. “But as we became more interested in the health benefits of fermentation, we swiftly moved onto water kefir. This is a cultured, fizzy water made with kefir grains.

“After our initial taste tests, we knew we needed to give traditional water kefir a flavour boost. This led us to experimenting with coconut water.

“The result is a light, refreshing, highly smashable drink with all the nutritional benefits of coconut water. But without the sugar.”

Drink in the culture

As well as being sugar free, say the Condons, Remedy Coconut Water Kefir contains electrolytes, minerals, organic acids, and the natural kefir live-culture probiotics Saccharomyces and Lactobacillus. It’s also organic, raw and vegan.

“Our customers respond really positively to new flavours and tastes,” Mr Condon said. “This is a great way to encourage trial with new and existing Remedy customers.”

Remedy Coconut Water Kefir is now available online at remedydrinks.com and independent supermarkets, grocers and health food stores.

RRP is $4.50 for a 330ml glass bottle.
