DoorDash has announced its expansion into 16 new regional communities across Western Australia, South Australia, Victoria and Tasmania.
The new markets now available on DoorDash include Geraldton, Kalgoorlie-Boulder, Albany and Karratha in WA; Port Lincoln, Victor Harbor-Goolwa, Port Pirie and Port Augusta in SA; Echuca-Moama, Wangaratta, Sale, Bairnsdale, Horsham and Moe-Newborough in Victoria; and Kingston, Blackmans Bay and Ulverstone in Tasmania.
Promoted as bringing greater delivery choice, convenience and economic opportunity to more than 410,000 regional Australians, the new expansion phase marks one of DoorDash’s largest regional growth initiatives in Australia. The delivery platform says it’s helping connect local residents with restaurants, grocery and convenience partners, while supporting local businesses to reach new customers and create new earning opportunities for Dashers.
“This expansion is about supporting local communities by helping merchants grow, creating flexible earning opportunities for Dashers, and making everyday life a little easier for residents,” says DoorDash APAC Vice President Simon Rossi.
“We’re proud to be investing in regional Australia and look forward to becoming part of these communities.”
