The average price of unleaded petrol in Australia rose 10.2¢ to 120.7¢ a litre nationally in the week ending 14 June, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Petrol Prices’ report.
The average national weekly metropolitan retail price rose by 13.6¢ to 123.6¢ a litre, with the regional price rising by 3.3¢ to 114.9¢ a litre.
The most expensive unleaded in the country was in Queensland at 124.4¢ a litre, followed by Northern Territory (123.7¢), South Australia (122.4¢), Victoria (122.2¢), Tasmania (120.6¢), NSW/ACT (118.7¢), and Western Australia (115.0¢).
Of the major cities, Darwin offered the cheapest unleaded for the week at 109.1¢ a litre, followed by Canberra (111.3¢), Perth (113.7¢), Hobart (120.5¢), Sydney (123.0¢), Adelaide (125.2¢), Melbourne (125.7¢), and Brisbane (129.3¢).
