9CHA does Milk Tea conveniently

While Milk Tea products have been available in Asia for many years, there has been a noticeable gap in the Australian market for the convenient styled product.

Milk Tea arrived in Australia six years ago, according to Allied Market Research. The global bubble milk tea market was worth US$1.95 billion in 2016 and is projected to reach US$3.2 billion by 2023.

Directors of NineCha Jay Shao and Sean Issell emphasise that the large gap in their target market is what made it an easy decision to begin producing NineCha.

“We looked for similar products around the world and how people wanted to consume RTD (ready to drink) Milk Tea products,” says NineCha Director Jay Shao.

“No one caters to our target market, so creating NineCha was a very easy decision.”

Mr Issell explains, “NineCha is available in three flavours – Original (black tea), Wildberry and Jasmine, available in handy 200ml pouches. Our product has been lab tested to shelf life of over 15 months (from production), with no preservatives or artificial colours.”

NineCha is a Melbourne-based company that distributes through directly and indirectly to many impulse and convenience outlets across Australia.
